    Default Las Vegas Music Scene

I'm leaving this Saturday on a girls' trip to Las Vegas. Does anyone know of any outdoor performances, jams, etc. we can attend while we're there? We're returning home on Wednesday.

I'll be interested if you had any success. I'll be going there in November and had no expectations to play.

If nothing else, take the opportunity to do some busking. I assume you’ll be traveling with your teacher, the violinist, as you’ve done in the past? If so, this may be an excellent time for y’all to perform a few numbers on the sidewalk. It can be great fun and an exercise in overcoming performance anxiety. You’ll be surprised that may get compliments and encouragement from strangers.

A coworker of mine was there last week. He said there was live music and busking acts on Fremont but the clubs and venues were shut down.

I live in Reno, but Nevada has a very odd/arbitrary rule that only "ambient" music is allowed. The definition of ambient music is somewhat opaque, but essentially means that you might find a band playing music at a restaurant for background entertainment. But there are no concerts or shows.
Maybe this has changed since I last heard about the rule a couple of months ago.

No success; however, I didn't pursue beyond this thread. Surely some jams are happening. Some shows are opening in November.

We didn't bring our instruments (and I'm sure missing mine!). I do think busking might be fun. Maybe sometime when you come to Dallas???

We were on Fremont in the daytime. (What a cesspool!) No bands, some busking.
