It is a scam being listed through an honest seller's hi-jacked account. Check out the seller's other 4500+ listings of high-end instruments, cameras, bicycles, electronics, etc. all with a message to contact him directly to purchase. Notice that each items photos are of a different technique and not taken by the same seller because these are all previously sold items on eBay. It will just be a matter of time before other eBayers report it and eBay removes every listing.

I hear about these scams about once every week or two. One good reason that I avoid ebay. Yes, sometimes a bargain price can be found, but the risk can be high; not only due to scams, but also condition, and the possibility that a seller will not know how to safely pack an instrument.

We go through phases of threads on the Cafe about these. We have in the past chased them down like rabid dogs but they just keep coming back. Take a minute to report them if you can.

    “For real?”

Sorry, but it is a bit on the funny side. I suggest you also ignore $$millions$$ offered in your emails, etc. And warnings from “Microsoft” about viruses on your computer. Such a long list of scams to enumerate, just be careful and use your horse sense.

You're right, Mark. I get the ones who call and say "Hi Grandpa". I say hello and they say they got arrested and need bail money. I love to mess with them, keep them on the phone, call their "attorney" and keep them going for a long time. From time to time it's entertaining to waste their time.
