During Loar's tenure, did Gibson make both snakehead and paddlehead A models?

Thanks, Mike. Are the prices the same on the two types from the Loar era? Or are the snakeheads generally worth more?

The snakeheads are a bit more valuable in most cases, mostly because they are sought after more.

Loar era Snakeheads usually have a narrower neck, but both have adjustable truss rods except for the Junior models. Both styles sound great, if the oval hole sound is what floats your boat. Maybe less tubby than teens A models, but I have heard some great teens Gibson As. Intonation can be off. If you have the chance, play them all before you buy.

I have had a few A2's from the '22 era that intonation was off, including mine. Took me awhile to figure out and drove me nuts. Finally put approx. 1mm shim between the nut and the end of the fingerboard and it played perfect. Have done the same thing to other A's from the era and worked each time.

Paddle heads* sound fine & cost less than the snakeheads, *(I own 2 from '22)

Basically, [agree] because (generic) you drove up the price of snakeheads, bidding against each other..
