Default Forest and Kate O'Connor - Sound of Silence

I ran across this the other day. Great rendition, simple, clean and a great recording. Sorry but no mandolin content. There are some amazing and talented musician's in there 20' and 30's. To bad they do not get the recognition they deserve.... Anyway hope you enjoy.

    Lovely, indeed.

Do you think the singular (i.e., Sound) is deliberate?

although Forest is quite the mando picker, giving his Dad a run for his money...

I would love to know the particulars of how that audio was recorded. Any guesses?

Any relation to Mark O'Connor ?
My two favorite pastimes are drinking wine and playing the mandolin but most of my friends would rather hear me drink wine! Adapted from quote by Mark Twain------supposedly !

MANY years ago I was in Mountain View , Arkansas to watch/listen to their annual fiddle contest. A younger Mark O'Connor was there and many of the old timers there had never heard of Mark ! I told them that Mark would win first place ! Several of these old timers asked how I knew that ! I told them to just listen ! They did and Mark won very easily ! I had a conversation with Mark later on and asked about his fiddle and he told me it was a no name instrument and he could really make it sing !!
