    Default Finally My First Break/Solo

    I guess most of you saw my first post about how after a few months I was having trouble with Breaks/Solo's. Well I still have a long way to go but here is one of my first ones.

    Please any input to make me or the solo better please help as I will keep practicing to get better

    IMHO, the thing that really stands out to me is that you ARE DOING IT. Not being afraid to put it out there, asking for comments/help is a huge step towards improving! Soon, someone more qualified than me will pipe in here with some specific suggestions for you. In the meantime, you are definitely on the right track! Keep it up.

    Great start. Now learn a fiddle tune, like Old Joe Clark in the key of A. It's easy and will give you confidence. Thanks for posting for us.

    Thanks everyone I know its a litte rough but I will work on it.... How do I clean up my notes? Is it my right hand technique?

    Nice job! I found the best way to learn was to dive in and do it. Your sound will smooth out the more you practice and it becomes more natural - you are looking understandably tense in your video One right-hand thing I noticed was that you are using mainly downstrokes (except for the tremolo) - you might consider up and down picking (unless that was a deliberate choice, of course
