Default Like they don't know me

    Hi everyone,

I'm sharing a little musical catharsis with you all. I recently went through one of these moments when you feel like you're not in sync with your loved ones. Like they didn't know me or something... I don't know, just not how it usually is.

What I know is that I went back home later feeling kind of down, picked up my octave mando and I wrote this (well, to be honest, it took me three days). It helped me a lot. Like Mr. Zappa said often, music is the best.

Take care and thanks for watching / listening,

    Isaac

Beautifully done! and that's an incredible sounding octave mando you've got there.

Thank you, Rob! Well, about the sound I have to say that, although the mando sounds great by itself indeed, it's recorded through a condenser mic and then equalyzed and compressed -I tried to emphasize its depth and punch. But again, I'm pretty in love with my Weber anyway!

Fantastic! It was a salve for difficult times here in Northern CA amidst the bad air from the fires. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Thanks, kwd. I'm so sorry for what's going on in California right now. I hope everything goes back to normal as soon as possible.

I could listen to this piece every day. Also there is a special awareness when you are in a certain 'mood' that helps the choices in phrasing, technique and melodic line. Sometimes I think that to play well, I need to be constantly depressed!? Ha, ha. Seriously however I think Isaac has a great command of the neck and a nice memory of other tunes to 'draw from'. Good choices = good taste. Whatever. I think Isaac's problems will end soon.

    Hey DougC,

Thank you so much for your extremely kind words. You just made my day! And yes, things are better. I'm glad to have used that "emotional pool" to make music from it, though.

    Best,

    Isaac

yeah buddy! I'm on the edge of my seat for the full run! Just great playing and a wonderful sound! Then too the arraignment and overall composition is very engaging!

. . . and to Zappa; yes! Yes it is!
