Default 1980s clip of Mick Moloney

Here's an old clip of Mick Moloney, Liz Carrol and Michael Flatley that was recently uploaded to youtube. Nice bit of Mick playing his Gibson at the start, plus a few seconds of him on the old CE Paragon tenor banjo.

Great fun, thanks for that. Took me back to time I was just getting into ITM and mandolin, gobsmacked by Moloney's playing, so found him at Augusta and it's down the rabbit hole...
I had also what I think was a rare-ish copy of Flatley's flute LP, with some pretty great playing and totally over the top self-penned notes. It warped into a salad bowl shape and I further destroyed it trying to flatten it with "gentle heat ". Somehow I just don't miss it.....
And Liz. To this day one of the few musicians guaranteed to plaster a silly smile on my face. In fact, need to listen to more of her for surviving these times. I'll listen to a few tunes of hers now.

I think I know that record. The cover is him standing against the Chicago skyline. And in the notes he thanks the photographer for taken time out from his busy schedule at Playboy.

Thanks for that. His version of the "Brides Favorite" is quite lovely.
