Default Breedlove mandolins - no on-line catalog?

My favorite mando is a Crossover FF, perhaps 2 years old. Very nice box.

I am thinking of buying a new, upscale Breedlove, but how? As I recall the Breedlove Guitars site used to have a mandolin page, but no more.

How do they distribute? From China to Bend to ????

    Do they have authorized dealers?

Are they sneaking out of the business?

Breedlove is now owned by a company named Two Old Hippies. Two Old Hippies also owns Weber as well. I have no idea if Breedlove has continued to offer mandolins but I would think that the company might be pushing the Weber brand name now. The last press release I saw mentioned Breedlove guitars, Bedell Guitars and Weber mandolins. We have one member at least that works for them, perhaps he can offer some insight.

Breedlove doesn’t currently make any mandolins.

Well, it appears we have more than one member that works for TOH. Thanks Ryan.

Thanks for answers, all. I also have a nice little black FF Crossover which I was getting ready to sell, but I think I'll keep it instead.

I’m sorry to hear that. Back in the day, I upgraded from a Kentucky 250 to a Quartz OF and then to a Quartz FF, which were my absolute favorites in their price range.

FYI (and NFI), there's a USA-made K in the classifieds right now.

I think Scott T posted some information about Breedlove's temporary(?) suspension of their mandolin line in a NAMM thread on the discussion board either this year or last. Used US made ones (more upscale) appear in the Cafe classifieds frequently. There are several in there now. Disclosure, one of the ads is mine. Breedlove kept some information up about their mandolins in the discontinued models section of the website until a recent website update.
