Joh. B. Kok (1889-1954): La Festa Splendora, Op. 132
This is a concert ouverture written in the 1930s by Dutch mandolin pioneer Johan Kok. It's been in our repertoire for more than ten years and is always good fun, especially the final rousing galop section. I originally found a poor quality copy of the score at the old Nakano site, which we've transcribed to produce performance parts, as attached. [NB: There is a slight editing mistake in the mandola part -- in the final sections, the descrescendos should all be crescendos]
