To my (not too refined eye) it looks like one of the massed produced mandolins from the early 1900s made in Chicago (going by scratch plate) they were often rebranded under many names. Can you post a photo of the back. If it has a lot of ribs tightly spaced together it's worth more. If it just has like 20 or less it is more of a budget model. Put only very lightweigh strings on these (bluegrass strings are too heavy and could damage the top). I think I got mine (in very good working order with no issues at all) for like $100-150.
