    Excellent balance on ordinary earbuds. And a hot trio, of course!

    That said, mixing for non-hi-fi playback used to be a thing for AM car radio. If the bass tone had more upper harmonics it would be easier to hear when just holding a phone near your ear, or listening to internal tablet/laptop speakers.

    But why settle for that sound when good earphones and loudspeakers (those few of us that still have a stereo) are everywhere?

    Saw Don's trio at the Midwest Gypsy Jazz fest last September. Excellent show and great guy besides. Lots of fun. Listen to his stuff a lot.

    Maybe I shouldn't have listened on my transistor radio ?!?
