I have experienced something similar with instruments.
If it isn't the instrument you really want, you will think about that every time you play it.
It will not become the instrument you really want.
Your mandolin is worth some serious cash.
Sell it and buy one that makes you super happy every time you pick it up, or trade it for the mandolin of your dreams.
There are plenty of amazing mandolins out there in the world.
The perfect one is waiting for you.
