I am seldom this impulsive, but I pulled the trigger on this "featured mando" yesterday:

I almost bought a Breedlove guitar made of myrtlewood a few years ago - it had amazing sound. I ended up going for a Martin OM instead.

Now I get to have my myrtlewood instrument. Can't wait to hear it! I'll report back when it arrives.

I have a Breedlove Northwest Classic with Myrtlewood back and sides. The back has absolutely spectacular figure. I did not look at the back till I got it home and found a nice surprise. I had focused on playability and sound. It is a great fingerpicking guitar but a little quiet for large jams. I use it plugged in a lot with a small dance band. The balance between strings works really well. I really like the myrtle.

Myrtlewood is a wonderful to carve & turn. I'm a fan of streaked fingerboards myself & that one's definitely a winner! Congrats

I also have a Breedlove guitar with Myrtlewood back and sides, Spruce top. It plays great and the tone is exceptional. I played it in front of a group of people one night and was approached by one of them, a producer, who asked me to play on one of his current projects . . . And bring the Breedlove!

I had a hand in approx. 50 Breedlove builds back in the day that were made from Myrtle wood, including several mandolins that were solo builds. It is one of the great under rated domestic tonewoods.

Do you already have it?

I almost pulled the trigger, but couldn't make up my mind fast enough... One reason why I hesitated was that there was no sound sample, and I was already in love with the MW-0 and M-11.

So now I'm clarifying the details of a Walnut Big Muddy with Mike Dulak... I'm soooo excited...
