Hi-
I am watching the Greyfox virtual festival-- Hot Rize. Tim O'Brien is playing an F5, and I cant tell what make/model. Anyone know what F5 Tim plays? I have always seen him with his black A model (Collings/Nugget?)
THANKS!

Clarification---I think it is a Gibson, but I am curious about specifics...
It looks like a Gibson "Sam Bush" model. It has the flowerpot headstock inlay, the block inlay on the neck and the cut off florida at the end of the finger board.
I just read an interview with Tim from 2019 and when asked about his mandolins he stated he only played an F style mandolin for about a year with Hot Rise, preferring his A model.

Charley
A bunch of stuff with four strings
It looks like a Sam Bush model, perhaps he was checking it out.
Old Hometown, Cabin Fever String Band
Definitely looks like a Sam Bush.
I noticed Brian is playing a Gibson guitar. Wonder if there was some sort of Gibson promo or recognition going on that day at the festival.

Bryan is playing a 1941 Gibson J-35. They played here back around the same time. Tim was playing one of his Nuggets. I had to do about three double takes when I saw Bryan's guitar to make sure it wasn't a modern re-issue. It is one of the cleanest pre-war Gibson instruments that I have seen.
