This Kennedy Center tribute to Zep with the Wilson’s and JB’s son probably says it all. It’s a great 7 minute listen to the most overplayed (but still great) pop song of all-time. Wilson’s kill it.

BTW, in appreciation for JPJ....his chords and harmonics were elegant bass lines. Ramble On is great example...all time classic work.
One of the top rated rock bassist evah.

Good stuff! I’ve probably posted this before, but I do think this is a really good cover of Going to
California by the Dave Rawlings Machine featuring JPJ!
Nice.
Dave Rawlings Machine featuring JPJ
Pretty good band, eh?! I'd seen that a few years ago, nice to review it again.
JPJ was at the Mandolin Symposium the first year, he was touring around
with Thile. I sat next to him in a class, told him I'd seen him open for Vanilla Fudge.
He said it was their first US tour. Cool Symposium memory!
Yes, I still can vividly recall seeing him there in the back during the first morning class in the lecture hall and thinking to myself "that's John Paul Jones!". At the end I said hi to him on my way out and told hm how much I appreciated his music. Then it was also cool having him in the "Level 4" class as a student.
Hmmm, I think I've said this before:

Would it save you a lot of time if I just gave up and went mad now?
Apologies to all. Thanks for letting me know it’s a Canadian show.
He mostly played bass on that Mutual Admiration Society tour, but did play mandolin for an instrumental duet of "Going to California" with Sean Watkins. Nice recording here:
