I had the good fortune to attend Tom and Laurie’s bluegrass camps in 2018 and 2019. Sadly, 2020 was cancelled. They are awesome musicians and awesome people who make astounding music.

Sorry to read about Tom's health problems and his decreasing ability to pick.

Check out Tom's fantastic tri-tone solo 50 seconds in on this classic Laurie Lewis song I'm Gonna Be the Wind. She doesn’t get enough creds for her songwriting, so much energy here.

Tom's a super-musical guy -- player of many instruments, fine singer, fine graphic artist, and a thoughtful person. I'm glad to see him get the well-deserved attention.

And I love my "Banjo Scream" t-shirt. A classic.

Tom's great, an amazing, understated talent.

Tom has been a standard that has set the mark for so many over the years. amazing the amount of pure musical joy he has spread for so many over so amny venues, for so many years, on so many occasions, for so little note.... I hope the joyous hours upon hours of beautiful music he has offered to so many, has settled into his bones to last him for a lifetime.

Paul, aren't both you and Tom from the Northeast? Did you know him before you moved south?

As I've heard Laurie say from the stage more than once, Tom is from "the great bluegrass state of Connecticut!"
