Hey Steve, your attachment is showing as "invalid", you might want to try again. Sorry to hear about the theft, that sucks.

Oh man, I sure hope she is recovered! I despise thieves! My Gramps guitar is still missing, I have a feeling it was thrown away as my Uncle had it stolen and his original Flathead Gibson banjo down in Louisiana at a jam a few years ago! Luckily the Flathead was found by a dumpster with his contact info inside and he got her back from the person who found her! Thank God for that one right!
She is gorgeous - I do hope you're reunited.

Great news! The mandolin is back home! A guy called me asking about it. Said he bought it at an estate sale. Turns out he was involved in the crime. Just glad it was a happy ending. Made my week for sure.

I'm hoping this is a triumph of conscience.
How wonderful!
Sounds like a flawed business plan!

He was trying to get a big reward. The owner agreed to a price. The owner had called the Police. They went with the owner to pick it up. A different guy actually showed up. The guy tried to run. Luckily the mandolin was in his car. What a scheme.

Congratulations!
Just for curiosity, where was the mandolin when it was stolen (home, car, gig)?
Just one guy's opinion

I once had a guitar stolen from my car trunk when I was unloading equipment for a gig at a bar. It's a shame how many people of low degree are lurking and ready to steal with no conscience. The circumstances of how yours was stolen really does not matter. Unless you handcuff your wrist to the case there are no guarantees when you leave the house. Glad you got it back.
Every day, rain or shine I look at mine and feel blessed. Isn’t it great to be musical!

Good to hear the mandolin is back with the rightful owner. I just purchased (legally) Hinde MF-7. I can honestly say, as I've already told Steve Hinde, that it is far and away the loudest, clearest, easiest to play mandolin I've ever had in my hands. I found it here at the Cafe. Had a crack from a drop that was repaired and cleated. There was no other damage. After new strings, intonation set, action adjustment, I played the potatoes out of it. I've only been playing five years, however I could never imagine a mandolin sounding this good. I'm thrilled and it cost me $2500.00.
Beautiful Flame on the back, Scahller Tuners, James tailpiece, Addy Spruce top, Fully bound. Just a really great sounding, easy to play work of art.
