    Default Recognize this one?

It's about 15 years old and built in North Carolina, but that's all i know. It looks quite Roberto-Venn-ish to me; I'd bet the builder studied there, but that is just an educated guess. Anyone know who built it?

I agree. Maybe influenced by Warwick, with clipped horns and more offset.

Body is a mahogany/maple/mahogany sandwich. Didn't Alembic do stuff like that?

I won it on eBay but then the seller sent me a refund. Same mandolin was on Craigslist, where the seller responded and said it would be "available in a few days."

Sure looks like walnut to me.

So you won it, the seller reneged and is now listing it on craigslist? Is he afraid to ship it?

It was listed on both CL and eBay simultaneously. Seller may be hoping for a local sale. Reneging on the eBay transaction doesn't exactly project an aura of trustworthiness.

If Parker makes a mando, they should call it a Parker Flea.

Yeah, you may be right about that. I saved all the photos here if you want to see them:

Seller said it was mahogany, but as I said, I am losing confidence in the seller.

That’s walnut, I have enough of it both in instruments I have made and gun stocks too. The seller might be ignorant of the difference if you want to give benefit of the doubt. However pulling one sale but not the other ad would make me suspicious.
