    Default Japanese Folk Songs

    They fascinated me with their melodies which are unusual for the Europe where I live. I harmonized the melody based on the European tradition. But I hope it doesn‘t matter.Because this recording wanted to be a „small bridge“, leading to the beauties of Japanese music.

    Great. The scale of Japanese folk songs is unique with five scales. The world-wide doremifah has seven scales. Difficult for the new generation of Japanese.

    Yes you are right. I was very interested in the melodies in Japanese five scales. It's something different than I usually play.
