Default Using Tabledit to transpose from Manadolin GDAE to Mandola CGDA

Have youi used TAbledit to transpose Mandolin tunes to Mandola tunes? How, exactly would you do that. It seems like it could be done with corresponding tab, as well. Right?

I know how to do it using Finale or MuseScore.....I'm not sure you can w/ TablEdit.

No problem. Click on the module box up in the upper right corner and the module dialog should come up. Click on the Tuning tab of the module dialog. Then change all the notes for each course from GDAE to CGDA. In the Impact box, click on Fingerings. Click the Apply button or the OK button. That should do it.

You can also transpose tunes using mandolintab.net that’s if you write the notes out as an .abc file. You can get harmonised voicings too by transcribing for example, up four frets and then change the key signiature back to the original key.
    Good luck!

(musescore imports .abc and exports, I think midi, which can be changed to .abc)

HonketyHank, I've tried it a couple times and it makes some changes, mostly in the notateion area, but the tab does nto seem to change. I'm doing something wrong and will keep working at it. Thanks.

Ensure that you have you have the Impact "Fingerings" checkbox selected. This is in the Score->Instument dialog box under the Tuning tab. This is how you change the tab and not the notes.

Also, you might have to Transpose down 12 Intervals (an octave) to keep your fingerings in the first position.
