Thread: Collings MT Wide Nut Valuation?

Default Collings MT Wide Nut Valuation?

I bought a 2017 Collings MT Wide Nut off the MC Classifieds a year and a half ago, and now I've accepted that I'm just not playing it enough and someone should be. I'm reaching out to the hive mind here because I'm going to post it on the MC Classifieds, but I haven't been following these prices lately and I don't know what they have been going for. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Some fretwear on first five frets of A and E strings- if that tells you anything about my playing :-)
Ding on top near lower F hole- DOH!!
Finish rub under headstock on both sides where an improvised guitar hanger and the finish did not agree. Please no further admonishment on this, I've given myself enough. :-)

Other than that, it sounds like your typical gorgeous Collings mandolin.

    Best wishes,

    Scott

Before the Collings price increase, used ones were going in the $1500-$1800 range. These days, the price of a new one is $3000+. The used ones I've seen listed have been in the 2000-2300 range. I bought mine new in 2012 for about $2300.. I figure I might get close to what I paid for it some day.. never selling it though.

    Cheers,

    Rob
