The Gibson. F2 84689

I found a Gibson F2 Mandolin
Serial 84689 last month in a local Attic.
It has a de armond pickup. The bridge has been raised but I have the original parts to convert it back which were with it.
I also have the scroll which is broken off of the headstock.

Im Trying to figure out what year it's from?
And how much the scroll repair will cost me.

Any thoughts and opinions on the mando are greatly appreciated.

Cool. I think from what I seen. A 1927 year. You have a picture of your find?

Is there a Factory Order Number (FON) stamped on the neckblock when you look in the tonehole up towards the headstock? That set of digits is usually more accurate in determining when your mandolin was made, as opposed to the serial number which I believe was assigned when the instrument was shipped (sometimes after waiting around for years as the mandolin boom faded).
