    Default Strings By Mail

I've not heard of this company before, https://www.stringsbymail.com/

Has anybody here used them? Good price on discontinued D'Addario strings, but they're an unknown entity for me.

To answer the original question, I've used Strings By Mail on several occasions, and they have been great. They seem to have almost everything in stock, and ship quickly. They are located in the state in which I reside (Michigan), so delivery time is really quick due to proximity. They've become my go-to. No financial interest, just a satisfied customer.
All my life I wanted to be somebody, now I realize I should have been more specific.

    What Rick Jones says.

They have tons of strings for common and rare instruments, a good assortment of picks, sheet music, and various accessories. They ship quickly and they are nice. Good sales, too. What more could you ask for? NFI.

I have used Strings By Mail for classical guitar strings and associated stuff; they have lots of nylon string brands and varieties. They also have a good selection of strings for uncommon instruments as well.

I also buy strings from Strings and Beyond and JustStrings. And Elderly on occasion, depending on what I am looking for.

    They are all reliable.

I bought some picks from them a couple weeks ago and was impressed when they sent a personalized note along with my order. I would most definitely use them again when the need arises.

I have bought strings here often. They don’t always have the best price but they always have the strings. They send candy too!

I've used Strings By Mail too. Great company with personal follow-up. They have numerous single strings, which helped me immensely in experimenting to find the best ones that worked for my 5-string "Mandocello-Thing", which was a bit of a challenge, as it's a one-off, unique instrument. They give away neat stickers, too.

Strings and Beyond may not give you candy and stickers, but they will give you free shipping on orders over $35.
Gimmesomestrings is even better with free shipping on orders over $20.

My orders are almost always more than $35, so it saves me money versus:

    *Strings By Mail ($4 shipping)
    *Just Strings ($7 shipping!)

Very impressed with Strings By Mail -- They seem to be resourceful about finding unusual products. At the time I approached them about carrying Dogal strings, no one offered them in the USA (except Bernunzio, afaik). SBM did their homework and stocked the whole line of Dogal strings. And they also have the Dogal mandolin picks, which are standard issue in the Italian conservatories.

    NFI of course.

I use LaBella strings on my mandolin and they are kind of hard to find, but SBM always has them.
