    Default Burtenshaw Mandolin #16...

    I just put the 1st set of strings on #16 a few days ago. Red spruce top, maple back, sides and neck, Tru Oil finish. Strung up sort of in the white while I shape the neck. Hope the youtube link works...

    Thanks for the comments. Yes, Don Stiernbergs' Nugget was the inspiration for building a 2 point. It's a good intermediate step in the building experience, between the simplicity of the A model and the enormous complexity of the F5 style. Mandolin building is challenging for sure...
