Hi, ran across a nice A style mandolin a little while back with “JS” on the headstock. I haven't been able to find any info on who the maker is - any ideas?

Hi Mike I'm sure anyone would like to see a photo to help you out, however my guess would be John Schofield. Any signatures or labels visible thru the f-holes?
Thanks Fred, but I don’t think that’s it - his instruments have “Schofield” on the headstock, at least the ones I can find. And unfortunately I don’t have any pics, and I don’t recall a label. It was with a number of other mandolins including a Weber, Collings, and San Juan, I just remember that it compared very favorably to those.
Do you remember what store you saw it? Maybe call them?
You can look on this Eye Candy page.
