A well-worn one popped up on the classifieds yesterday and was gone in like a half hour. Any one here grab it? Where is it headed?
Cheers,

Not at liberty nor our intent to discuss who bought it but the ad is likely in Google's cache so I can spill the beans that it was offered at and I assume sold for the $7K asking price. Picture attached from our logs. First-time use of the Classifieds and I was concerned at that price that it was a scam but couldn't really prove anything so let it through, was in immediate touch with the 6-7 people that responded within the 30 minutes the ad was up. Turns out one guy got a phone number, called the guy, guy played it (quite well apparently) over the phone and the deal was made. He's apparently an older, long-time bluegrasser and lost his business recently to the virus. About all I know of it except that he's apparently a known individual on the West coast where he lives. Have no idea of the condition of it. Price seems awfully low, but it could have a of issues so anything further is simple speculation.

Well, dang...wish I had seen that. Hate it for Terry, though...
I know Terry's been talking about selling his Monteleone for a while...I'm sorry he had to let it go so quickly under these circumstances. I played it recently and think the tone is great...a bit on the dark side, but really woody. For me, it would need some professional setup help, but for the price a really good deal for the buyer. A neat transition period of Monteleone's work from the F5 to the Grand Artist.
That's a good recommendation for the quality of the instrument, and honest play wear. Sounds like the buyer is getting a well-loved instrument. To whoever got it (if on the Cafe site) - congratulations! Enjoy and play it in good health!
Absolutely! I hope whoever bought it chimes in when they get the set up worked out...
