No I never heard of an oval or seen one! Thanks for sharing the photo! Nice indeed but I would take the F-hole KM-Dawg any day!
Might have been a one off from Sumi. Pretty sure I remember seeing another one with his name on the headstock.

I have a little Dawg following Facebook page from a while ago. This Sumi was at TME. I am friends with a Toshi on facebook who owns the Oval Dawg.

I'd love a Kentucky Dawg-that would be the only import from the far east that I would have any interest in! Wasn't there only like 48 built by Sumi? Does he still build mandolins for Kentucky or under his own name? I'm not really up on those mandolins as there are way too many models! But those F-hole Kentucky Dawgs sure are sweet looking and have it going on! Weren't they made with a partnership between Dawg and Monte? How do they sound as I've never heard one-is there a comparison to any other mandolin or is there any videos anywhere of someone playing a KM-Dawg? I know those Monteleone mandos sound great!
Scott Zimmerman (Cafe member DesertRose) was representing Sumi, I assume he still is.
