Default Bach--Gigue from Suite #3 in C major

This completes my foray into the 3rd suite. Shure KSM 32 mic, Headway undersaddle pickup, Pro Tools.

Is that a 10-string cittern, liuto cantabile, or what? Sounds great; I have a very fine mandocello (1911 K4) but that extra string really interests me.
Nice baroque style, wonderful playing; love the Bach suites.

Well, after my jaw dropped for 10 minutes I finely closed it. Wow - what beautiful music and talent to share. For me it is inspiring. Thank you.

Not bad for a jazz player. One might think you’ve played in an orchestra

    Really nice, thanks

Thanks for listening. It's a 10-string mandolin [(Buchanan) with 14.25" scale. The short scale makes reaches easy and allows chord shapes not possible on large instruments.

In this Gigue I don't use the E course, but do use it for the occasional convenient note in the Prelude and Bouree. Sure is nice for the D major suite. I have that Prelude and Sarabande next on my schedule.
