I would go the same route. I wouldn't put that one back on, and a full-contact Cumberland would be my first choice. Please let us know what you think of it.

Was that an aluminum cap on the original bridge?
It appears to be only cosmetic at this point, with the great benefit that it can only be seen with the bridge off. There are number of ways that bridge can be made safe...if you wanted to. However, if you've been wanting a full contact bridge, then now is as good a time as any.
I had the bridge-feet indentations on my F5. Got full-contact bridge. End of problem; and,helped my plains sing better.
I think John Reischman had the same thing with his Loar.
Nothing to lose sleep over, imho.
