    Red Diamond is the model of the oval mandolin. I don't know what the tune is named.
    A lot of Carl Miner demo videos are probably improvisations...he does a lot of acoustic guitar demos.

    Thanks Roland. Couldn't see the headstock in the first video, but can in the second one. Great sound on that RD, especially for a new mandolin. Never heard a RD I didn't like.
