    Default The beagle has landed

Bought a basket case Gibson Junior snakehead last fall. Refinished it and had my local gear whisperer add hardware and some frets. Folks here recommended a Cumberland Acoustics bridge and a clamshell tailpiece, so that's what it has. Thanks for the guidance!

Thunderous bass, throaty mids, celestial highs, Authoritative, LOUD. Happy customer.

Yep, I've been banging away. The neck is shorter than my other mando's, and it turns out that makes it easier to go up the neck because now my left pinky stops at the twelfth fret, so I have a fighting chance at figuring out where the hell I am. (NOT a pro!)

Ugh. Last year I bought a Zoom digital camcorder that got good reviews, hated it, returned it. I doubt I'll ever go down that road again.

And so far, I've never needed a telephone that takes pictures (or a camera that makes phone calls), so that's not real likely, especially in the short run.

If anyone ever videos it in action, I'll post something, but that's not likely.

I've been looking for one of those for years. I have been hoarding hardware for just as long. Every one I found was either too far gone or the price was in Hollywood. Nice job.

I like the after look, very cool. I also like basket cases for projects.

I'd been looking for a few years, too. I spotted this one either here or at Reverb, can't remember. Talked the guy down to what I had to spend. The price wasn't Hollywood, but it wasn't Tobacco Road, either.

Anyhow, it sounds good enough and plays well enough that I might sell my other mando. That would put me back in the black.
