Question Re: New Blackstar battery amp

Piezo soundboard pickup? expect lots of top, not much body with that signal source..

Is this better than other battery amps out there like the Roland? All of these I've tried distort badly once you get a little above conversation volume. Terrible if you want clean sounds at slightly higher levels (of course I don't expect a Twin sound/volume...).

No distortion with amp volume turned up all the way.I have never used any other battery powered amps.(this one can switch to ac)The Baggs pre amp has many settings.I plugged in the acoustic simulator for the reverb and it adds more body and other settings. All total with the Fender mandolin there are 21 settings to dial in.Tried it with my Flatiron and Schertler pickup/ preamp with good results.Very clean sound.
