I've seen a number of folks using this or similar but it doesn't look lie a modern Neumann or Shure. Does anyone know?

I suspect he’s not actually “using” either - he’s playing mid way between his vocal mic and his instrument mic!

The vocal mic looks bit like a Rode NT1. The instrument mic could be anything.

Yes, it's the silver one I'm wondering about. I thought maybe a Rode NT1 but the black ring below the silver ring doesn't seem right, unless it is a shadow.

I suppose it could be a U87 (or clone). The backside has a couple of small switches like I can make myself see in that pic when I zoom in.

Not a Neumann, it looks a lot like a Mitek c7e, made in Nashville,TN.
But as Ray(T) stated before, its set up to be a main vocal mike. The one in the lower position to pick up his mando is hard to tell from the back, some small condenser for sure. (The mic clip does not look like a Neumann or Sennheiser)

Yes, the black ring was bothering me as well which is why I was non-committal.

Almost certainly. It has the exact kind of banding. (Should've guessed! I've had 2 Miktek mics - still have the MK300 - great, affordable LDC.)

Third image down at this link shows the back, which is what I'm seeing in the original link.

BINGO! Thanks much. It was driving me crazy. I am unfamiliar with Miktek.
