Looks way cool, but that's gonna add weight to an already heavy case. And where will you put the stickers?
Anyway, I agree with the above post that any good local leather worker could make it for you. Wouldn't be cheap.
That looks like one of the original “baby’s coffin” UK made Caltons - I have an identical one. I’m not aware that Keith ever made/sold a case cover - it’ll be a one off - and, personally, I’ve never seen the point.
If the ccase is supposed to protect the mandolin and the cover is supposed to protect the case, what protects the case cover? Bring back the Russian doll!
When I lay it in my back seat or anywhere else it my car it slides around. I currently use a colorado case cover and this does remedy this, but I want the leather simply for esthetics. Also, I have my toddler son in the car with me at most times so thats one more reason I don't want the case sliding around...

I'm going to guess that a custom made leather cover for a Calton is going to be close to the price of the Calton. Putting zippers in leather cases is a bear, and I remember Glen Chronkite telling me it ruined his hands.
Glen sold his company, but you can contact the new owners through the website. I'm not sure if they do custom work, but it does not hurt to ask. Although they are making COVID masks, so they may be open to a custom order.

As I think has been said before, case covers seem to be a US phenomenon. I’ve never actually seen one in the UK although antique fiddle cases did often come with a cover in the classical world. These seem to have died out, however, with the advent of modrn cases.
A good leather worker can do this easy-look to a saddle shop or where i live in the sticks there is a fairley large amish community-one amish guy used to make great sheaths for my cousins homemade forged knives!
WHAT LATE 30'S GIBSON F-5 IS THAT ONE DEM?
mando swag, well if people look cool in leather why not our mandolins ?.
Yup, looks like it could be Scott’s.

Call a few car interior or top shops, even boat cover shops in your area. There’s only 3 sides to that case and two are alike, not a difficult feat. Always thought a case wrapped like Waylon’s tele would look cool all tooled and stitched and all. Tandy could help you with that one, a perfect Covid19 gig.

The problem will be getting someone willing to wrangle with sewing in that zipper, and getting a good fit. That is probably the most difficult part of manufacturing case covers.

A zipper is no great shakes for a good car interior, top or cover shop. Local or close proximity to them is always best because they usually need the piece to make the pattern for proper fitting, also you can see and touch samples etc. neoprene might be fun...with a durable plastic wet suit like zipper! Keep your tool cool!

Take a trip to Brownsville TX! You could have it “Tuck and Rolled” to boot (or upholster).
I like the saddle maker direction, but, I’m not sure how difficult the project, I’d most likely just go get some leather and make it myself.

Have it baseball stitched. Call Rawlings!
I'm still scratching my head and wondering why you'd want to make a case that's already fairly heavy, even heavier. On the other hand, that might just be my age talking. When I was younger (much younger), I never cared about the weight of anything.
Yes thats scott's 1939 f-5 i do believe, hi is a good one, i played her at the loarfest and its a mighty fine old 5!
The Previous company Reunion Blues went Asian, for labor cost reduction.
One of my Friends worked there while they were still in SFO.
They Used to make full leather and leather/nylon mixed designs in relatively densely foam padded gig bags.
(Looking at the current site the bags are more nylon covered ..
I saw Uke, nothing specific to mandolin..

why not a matching set ?, a jacket for your mando & one made for you out of the same leather. or you could even have your name embossed on the mando case cover, that would be very cool.
