    Default Live Streaming

    Hey, Everyone:

    I'm live-streaming a mandolin meditations event Saturday night starting at 8 p.m:
    https://www.facebook.com/events/229843764910304

My plan is t o just use my iphone to do it, but I'd like audio and visual. Do you know of an affordable and better mic I can use that will plus into my laptop or iphone? Next, do you know of an affordable and better camera I can use than the one on my iphone?

    Thanks!

use the front camera & it will give you much higher resolution although you need to set the framing up properly beforehand and mark your spot so you don't lose track of things.

You can buy something like the Rode SC6- L & Smart lav kit to plug into your iPhone & it gives very good audio if worn as a lavaliere mic. .
The kit comes with two mics so you can wear one for the voice and use the other for the instrument this enables a L- R split which can enhance separation and intelligibility. To extend the distance a couple of TRRS mini jack extension leads can be used with a TRS version to give you the headphone return for monitoring

The main thing is to get enough light on the scene.

Pretty happy with my Zoom Q2n camera. needs decent light but onboard mics are great or it takes a soundboard feed.
