Default It's here! Peter Coombe flat top.

I have had it a couple of days now and still can't wipe the smile off my face! It is a thing of beauty. It's lightweight, precision made, loud and has great sustain.

It's one of Peter's 2nd generation flat top models, and has the basic dimensions of a Lyon and Healy style C. Peter gives it a flat top with induced arch, carbon fibre bracing and some proprietary construction methods I don't quite understand!

My playing and the sound quality of the video don't do it justice here, (sorry Peter!) but I wanted to share how beautiful it is.

I am a dedicated student and practice every day, but this mandolin inspires me to play even more.

I couldn't think what to play so this is an exercise from Bickford vol 1.

Thanks everyone, it really is a beautiful instrument. Peter has another one made with sassafrass back and sides, in case anyone is interested.
