Default The Mandolin Store has moved to Lebanon, Ohio

This has been in the works awhile but just made official today. Here's the content from their email:

In 2020 when I moved the store to TN, I didn’t realize what the immediate future would hold. Two plus years later and two new organs, I decided it was time to move the store back home to Ohio. This allows my son Zach, who has worked on and off with me the past 14 years, to take over as GM. Adam McIntosh will also be helping out with videos and misc things part time. This move will also allow me to spend more time with my family and my grandsons will get to grow up in The Mandolin Store.

We are proud to announce that effective January 1st our store will be located in the heart of downtown Lebanon, Ohio. Lebanon features fun for the entire family. We are within walking distance to the local coffee shop, numerous restaurants and mom and pop retail stores, ice cream parlor, train station, Historic Golden Lamb and much more.

We hope you will join us at some point. We also truly appreciate you allowing us to serve you for the past 17 years.

    Dennis Vance

I'll let them tell the entire story but son Zach has taken over an important role in the family business as General Manager. We've enjoyed working with Zach and he's already made some important changes we've seen as adding value to the operation. Best of all, he's just like his dad, which I suppose should be no surprise!

Pictures of Zach's sons, Dennis's grandsons are included in the email. Think it's best to leave those for the store's customers.

My best wishes go to you for a prosperous 2023 in your new location, Dennis. You are looking pretty good in that photo, too. Glad to see it.

Well that is great news for you! I am glad you will have your son to help out. It is an amazing thing to have a family business. I was hoping to come see the shop in TN but I guess I can make my way up to Ohio, I'm in Texas so either way it will be a fun trip. Best of luck!

Good news for the family, and good news that the mandolin community will continue to have access to this fine resource. I met Zach by phone recently and he's a good guy. Since I was passing through Nashville I also had the pleasure of seeing the store and meeting James, the gentleman who's been doing such great videos for TMS. He's another great guy and a great player. I've really enjoyed his videos and it was great to meet him in person, play some mandos and chat. Best wishes to the TMS family and James as well.

This is not what I was expecting to see when browsing today, but I am so excited! I am local to the Lebanon area. I will definitely be stopping by. Good luck on the new endeavor. Lebanon is a wonderful place.

Bought a Weber mandolin and Eastman 'cello from TMS back when they were in AZ. Both were great transactions.

Best of wishes to Dennis, Zach & the rest of the team on the move and in the new location.

I bought a couple mandolins from Dennis and got to see the Nashville store a few times. I met both Adam and James and they are super people. I'm happy for Dennis and looking forward to continuing my relationship with TMS for many more years.

Thanks MC for posting this video. It was very interesting and informative. We all enjoy keeping up with the Dennis Vance family and their great mandolin store. May they find great success in Ohio, as they have in Arizona and Nashville!

Great news for me. Maybe not for my wallet. Now it's only about a six hour drive. I'm already planning a spring visit.

Haha :D sorry for off-topic but "only" 6 hour drive sounds very absurd for my european (inner) ears. in 6 hours you could almost cross my whole country :D
