Not regarding you, you svelte beast, but the now-ex-wife of a friend of mine once asked him, "Does this piece of clothing make me look fat?"

"No, your *fat* makes you look fat."

Who could have predicted that it wouldn't work out between them?

That's pretty! I hope you're enjoying it with the downtime provided by the current troubles.

Of course, a small guitar body, combined with a ribbed&zipped sweater collar is a step in that direction.
But to go all the way, you need Tomas Callister's fiddle.

I remember, at a long-ago Fox Hollow Festival, a rather large man onstage played a rather small mandolin. One of my companions remarked that you could see the player on every side of his instrument -- a fact usually observed only with pennywhistle and concertina players.

Now, my Weber "sopranolin" does make me look fat. But, lotsa other things do as well...

Seriously, a really wide octave mandolin can make one look heavier!

Oh, man, not while I'm about to swallow! Might need a new keyboard . . ..

To the OP: Well, if you're worried about it, there's always mandcello.
