    Default These trying times

    No mandolin content (kind of)
Slowly making my way home from south Florida. Six days to get to north Florida. In three days we hope to be in the mountains of NE Georgia. No idea if my usual jamming buds will be available at the National Forest Campground I frequent on my way back to the Burgh. Gig in Land O Lakes was cancelled resulting in much solo play.
    Certainly different from previous years.
Light at the end of the tunnel is a new Stiver Mandolin.
Big Muddy EM8 solid body (Mike Dulak's final EM8 build)
    Kentucky KM-950
Weber Gallatin A Mandola "D hole"

If there's any way you can avoid this travel right now, dear Bill, please stay right where you are. I know none of us are used to living in such a situation, but it's a fact that the choices each of us make individually in the next 7 days have the power to save or lose many precious lives. This is true in Florida right now, I fear, probably more than anywhere else in the world.

    No way to stay!
RV camps/resorts are closing to all excepting permanent residents. We are practicing 6 foot social isolation and taking all other precautions as serious as we can. No sharing of any objects and hand washing diligently. If we encounter friends in Georgia it will be virtual hugs only. Left home December ninth and eager to be home. Also eager to get my hands on my Stiver.
Thank you for advice as we cannot be reminded too many times about procedures to minimize risk of infection.

These trying times described correctly ! Got out my mandolin and began singing " Keep on the Sunnyside". Appropriate song for these times ! I am sure there are many others ! Hang in there everyone !
