Default Bach: Partita d-Moll, BWV 1004 – Allemanda

Sonatas and partitas for solo violin (BWV 1001–1006) by Bach is an exiting material to work on. The „Sei Solo a Violino senza Basso accompagnato“ (Six Solos for Violin Without Bass Accompaniment), as Bach titled them, is a whole journey through different emotional landscapes, from start to the end and technically full of polyphony to open and ways of articulation to decide.
The set of „The sonatas and partitas for solo violin (BWV 1001–1006)“ was completed by 1720. This Allemanda is the opening movement of the second Partita d-Moll, BWV 1004 for solo violin and is played on Flat-backed mandolin, crafted by Viljar Kuusk in 2008 (Tallinn, Estonia).
