Default Current pros looking to teach lessons during down time

    Hey Everybody,

Bummer so many great musicians are out of work right now, but on the bright side many folks are looking for students right now to pass the time and pay the bills. I have a lesson lined if with Caleb Klauder this week, but I saw some other folks looking for students, as well. I happen to have some free time so am going to take advantage. If this is ok with the forum maybe we can make a list.

So far I have seen these folks looking to teach via online more during this time:

    Caleb Klauder
    Ethan Setiawan
    Grant Gordy (Guitar)
    Joe K. Walsh
    Tim Connell
Lonnie Ohta Meyer (Guitar and Mandolin)

Works for us. I'd guess you could add to that list, and I'll probably think of more at some point:

    Tristan Scroggins
    Mike Compton
    Don Stiernberg
    Adam Steffey
    Wayne Benson
    Marla Fibish
    Sharon Gilchrist
    Roger Landes
    Pete Martin
    Chase Arbogast
    John Diamond
    Wayne Fugate
    Bradley Laird
    Don Julin
    Alan Reid
    Mark Levesque
    Aaron Weinstein

Some of these may be unfamiliar but many are seasoned players that have ads in the Classifieds.

My pro violist daughter taught five Skype lessons yesterday as parents at schools she taught in in LA struggle to keep kids occupied. All gigs are off. A good teacher can keep you going for a month with an hour lesson. I’m sure any of the above would love to schedule an hour. What else are you going to do with your time? I’m in what I consider an over reaction quarrentine, but now is the time to over react.

Add Ashley Broder to that list http://www.ashbroder.com/ She just put a blurb on Facebook about wanting to take some Skype or Facetime students

And also Zak Borden, a phenomenal teacher and great mandolin player (bluegrass, Choro, Irish) http://zakborden.com/

I just chatted with Isaac Eicher and he's taking remote students now as well. https://www.isaaceichermusic.com/

If you don't know Isaac's playing, he's phenomenal and a really nice, patient guy. He won Winfield twice and came in second in the year between his two wins. I'm looking forward to doin some sessions with him
