Wow! I really need to try this split tuning on my octave, although it looks like I'll have to change the use of the right hand... Luckily, the change of tuning seems to be a quick one...

Radim Zenkle did an album called "Galactic Mandolin" where he started in unison and then each tune the courses were a new interval apart ( whole step, 3rds, 4ths, 5ths, 6ths and 7th and I believe octave for he last tune
it is defiantly out there and more of a "musicians" album but pretty cool, different to be sure
