I was thinking in my life as a mandolin player I have purchased or owned
6 Mandolins
4 Mandolas
7 Octave mandolins
3 Mandocellos
2 10 String Citterns ( cello octave hybrid)
I still have about 10 total mandos, too much is never enough

If my memory is correct - this has been my 22 year progression:
- Santa Rosa MAND11
- Goya GM23
- Applause MAE148
- Morgan Monroe (F-style, can't remember the model number)
- Martin Style 20
- Rigel R-100 Custom (first white one ever made!)
- Savannah SF-100
- The Loar 310F
- Washburn M1SDL
- Gibson F-9
- Kentucky KM-272
- Eastman MD415-GD
- Martin Style 20
- Rogue RM100-F
- Gretsch G9350 Park Avenue
Only the Kentucky and the Washburn remain . . . . and don't even get me started on guitars, basses, and a slew of other stringed instruments which would have to number well over 200 . . . and yes, I do realize that I have a problem . . . .
I've only owned 5 mandolins in my life, and still have 3 of them. Not bad for 35 years.
Don't get me started on guitars, let's just say I've gone through a bunch. Most of which weren't very good. But I'm still wondering why I sold that Martin D 35 about 10 years ago.
A quarter tone flat and a half a beat behind.
