Default Jesse Brock, "Kickin' Grass" Thumbs up!

I ran across this 2002 album today and am loving it. Mostly instrumental with lots of tasty and energetic mandolin in a Bluegrass band setting. Highly recommended.

(By the way, Jesse has a new band, "Mainline Express." They've released a single, "Pass Me By," and it sounds promising.)

An under-rated picker, and fun guy to jam with.

He is a 2 time IBMA player of the year, probably not underrated.

I thought the same thing. Still, I've heard his name before but I definitely hadn't appreciated well enough just how good a mando picker he is.

He’s on Michael Cleveland records 2005-2010 or so, and played with the Gibson Brothers up until last year. Lots of good stuff there.
