I hadn't heard about the tornadoes, so just figured you were referring to another mass shooting.

Lots of widespread damage - music venue "Basement East," Five Points area of restaurants and shops, John C Tune Airport, Donelson Christian Academy.

Just got an email that Banjo Ben Clark sent out (somehow).

    quote
First, thanks to ALL who have been checking on us! It was a very scary night as we hunkered in our bathtub, but we are okay. My little town of Mount Juliet (east of Nashville) did take a direct hit last night at 1AM, but the tornado passed just north of my home. The school where my girls attend is almost completely demolished, but thank God no one was injured.

We don't have any significant damage at home but we are without power. Reports say it could be a week before power is restored. That being said, thank you for your patience regarding next week's lesson video. I'll most likely have to skip this week since I have no way to turn a camera or computer on I just released a new lesson a couple days ago here. Plus, all Gold Pick members can access hundreds of video lessons found here. And everything is just fine down at the General Store, if you're wondering.

Finally, I just want to say I love y'all and am so very thankful for you. Thank you for your prayers and for reaching out to me and my family. I hate that it often takes devastating circumstances to remind us of what's truly most important–I know I've had a sobering reminder these last 12 hours. Please pray for the families who have lost everything, including loved ones.

    In His hand,

    Banjo Ben

Our prayers are with those who have lost Loved Ones. I have a Niece that lives in Bellevue, TN., just west of Nashville. She said the tornado missed them. She said she was ok. Such a tragic loss of Life.

Yes, this is a sad event. Hopefully the death total doesn't rise any further. The photos and video are just devastating.

I merged the two Nashville threads so that everyone can see what has been posted thus far.

Carters has a message on their website thanking everyone for their concern and saying they are safe. They also have a link to this site where you can make a donation to an emergency response fund.

Terrible event in Nashville last night. I think the latest count is 25 lives lost in middle Tennessee from this storm. Most of the loses were in Putnam County (Cookeville area), considerably east of Nashville. I understand the tornado was on the ground for a long period of time. So far all of our friends and family appear to be safe. Our hearts are with those affected by the storm
