    Default On Being Mugged

A couple of years ago, I bought a larger Mando Cafe mug. It's a great size for coffee, a bit larger than all of our other mugs. So much better, in fact, that I haven't been able to use it for months; my wife and BIL have discovered it, and always manage to snag it before I do. Anyone else have to compete for the mug? Other MC accessories?

Of course the obvious answer is to just order a couple more.

Lucky you. Anything with a logo or resembling a mug in my house is banished to the far reaches of the most obscure of cupboards. Only cups and saucers allowed in my house. Who drinks coffee from a cup and saucer these days?

That's why I was able to use my mug for a while; my wife shunned it. We don't have cups and saucers, but most mugs are pottery, rather nice. Except for my deviations - instruments and star ships and funny comments and other aesthetically questionable choices.

Maybe I'm missing something but I believe, like you said, the problem could be solved with an additional mug or two. I'm sure Mike agrees with me.

At my house the situation would be EASILY rectified:

I would simply tell my wife that unless I get my mug back I am going to Mandolin Cafe' to order another mug . . . and another mandolin.

I would get the mug back, instantly - washed, dried, re-glazed and with a written apology for taking it in the first place . . . .

It's your story. You tell it any way you want.

Well … my cat does not drink coffee or do dishes so it really isn't a problem. He always lets me buy instruments too....
    I love hanging out with mandolin nerds . . . . . Thanks peeps ...

I very briefly thought of ordering a mandolin with a new mug: " ...but it came free, because I ordered the 10,000th mug. Really"

My wife obeys any little whim I have. I do humour her so she won’t feel under appreciated. I humour her......a lot.
