Do you practice with a metronome? I had the same problem. I figured out that I was getting myself all worked up and rushing as a result. That caused me to get lost and it just went downhill from there. Practicing the jam class songs with a metronome helped. Most of all, remember to be easy on yourself. I found that showing up early and getting to know the other people took a lot of the fear out of it.
