Aw shoot, wth if I'm promoting banjos I like this instead https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Ple...c46a%7Ciid%3A1 nfi
I nearly got a B&D piece for christmas (but didn't )
Just curious -- what does one do with a plectrum banjo? Where does it fit? It is basically a five string banjo without the fifth string, right? Is there a genre or culture where a pb is the must have thing?

PB is excellent for solo playing. I used to play a lot of tenor bnj and when I got a PB I just started converting the repertoire over (better sound) - all except for the irish stuff. Jelly Roll Morton, Ellington, Monk, and of course all the songbook stuff.
