    Default Gretsch Strad- Cheap 1940s

I'm assuming this is from the Strad family- zany f holes. Looks like it is losing all its finish but has WW2 era Klusons and the cloud tailpiece plus a decent bridge. I am assuming it is down at the plywood end of the scale.

Orpheum model D ...Made by STRADOLIN

Is there any other mandolin that is 1 vintage and 2 American made and 3 HAS AN ELEVATED/EXTENDED FRETBOARD and 4 will probably sell for under $200 ???
Lots of value for relatively little money. Might be Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and bridge. Not sure if it's laminated or not but at this price, who cares and it's stayed in one piece for 50+ years. https://ebay.us/101v75

NickR, I've Never seen a Gretsch made by Stradolin but it appears you could get ALMOST ANY NAME put on your Stradolin.

I've owned two Orpheum labeled Strad-O-Lin genre mandolins. One was just like this and the other had the cute little pickguard material cover on the Waverly tailpiece cover.

Winning bid on the Orpheum was $170.25 [ 10 bids ] & Shipping was $35.70.
So, $205.95 total, not a bad price for 1930's Orpheum/Stradolin.
The seller emailed me, "Tuners are held on by screws", so probably 1930's.
The seller also emailed me, "Don’t know if it is solid or laminate wood. Not really my expertise".
Did anyone here win this auction?
