I ran across a Ukulele player that owned over 100 of the little fellas...... Hey, they're small.....

As for me, I only have two mandolins, a Gibson and a Vega CB. I rarely play anything but the Gibson, but the little Vega Cylinder back has a very special voice that is prefect for some fiddle tunes.

Here is a You Tube video of a mandolin collection and, or, mandolin museum:

I have 3 wooden acoustic mandolins, one National, and two electric. They all have very different sounds and uses. Of the three acoustic wooden mandolins, two have tonalities that I really like and for now are keepers. The third is undergoing an extended audition; different neck, much different tonality - it may get churned.

I have about an accumulation of mandolins. The purchase of each one is justified on the basis that I wanted it, and could afford it without going into debt or touching unassigned money.

    No regrets.

First of all we don't need a mandolin anyway.

Secondly, as soon as you purchase a second one, you have more mandolins than you can play at once.

The incremental ridiculousness of the whole affair is spread evenly over the remaining purchases.
A talent for trivializin' the momentous and complicatin' the obvious.

    The entire staff
    funny....
